Anti-fog spray

SeeSpray anti-fog

My anti-fog spray project.

I originally developed SeeSpray because I wanted a better way to prevent my dive mask from fogging. I never liked using my finger to rub anti-fog gel around the inside of my mask or having to spit into it before every dive. Your fingers leave oils behind, and the whole point is to keep the lens clean.

I wanted something simple. Just shake, spray, rinse, and dive. No rubbing required.

After experimenting with several formulas, I landed on Formula #7.

My Original Formula #7

The formula works by leaving a very thin film across the lens. This helps prevent condensation from forming the tiny droplets that cause fogging. Even after a quick rinse, enough of that film remains to do its job.

I've tested Formula #7 with divers in different locations around the world, and it's worked great. It's lightweight, easy to apply, and doesn't require rubbing anything into the mask.

The biggest thing I've learned is that anti-fog works best when you start with a properly cleaned mask. Oils and residue can interfere with even a good formula.

A clean mask is a clear mask!
